These stages each take place around dig sites around excavation sites. Mine carts on tracks can be knocked towards enemies and there are several wooden platforms where one can gain some vantage points in battle. Underground Zone is from the Game Gear version for Sonic 2, but around the stage are various wrecked and abandoned traps used by the S6 Squad throughout the course of AOSTH. Cliff’s Excavation Site from Rise of Lyric has familiar faces such as Salty, Foreman Fred, Cliff himself, and various others around it. At the center of the stage is a large pit and from it a robot of some kind will occasionally lunge out at players. The Sonic Boom stage has the massive, yet incomplete, hand of one of Lyric’s Sentinels reach out from it. The Underground Zone instead has the Ant Lion Mecha.

Meropis/Ocean Purification Plant                  BGM: “Main Theme – Rise of Lyric”

These areas are both “entirely” underwater with only a few air domes to act as oxygen for the players. Meropis is a newer location from the Archie comics. Just outside the field, one can see Striker and the city guard fighting off Dark Gaia’s minions. The Ocean Purification Plant is a flooded version of an area from Sonic Boom. It has green liquids kept just outside the main area by a glass dome where the Tunnelbot is seen trying to break its way in. Coral and Pearly are taken cover just to the side in Meropis, while MAIA is occasionally seen floating by in the other stage.

White Jungle/Iron Jungle                                    BGM: “Shut Up, Faker!”

These stages take place on an elevated platform within a jungle area, similar to where Sonic and Shadow fought during the events of Sonic Adventure 2. White Jungle originates from that game and Iron Jungle is from Shadow’s own spinoff. While the platform is the main battlefield, there are pipes and tree roots that act as additional platforms. Iron Jungle in particular has the Egg Balloon flying around on the side. It doesn’t interact directly in battle, but can be shot down by stray attacks. White Jungle instead as one of GUN’s dropships.

Shadow Canyons/Sand Hill                                    BGM: “Shadow Canyons 1”

These areas in particular take place within desert canyons. Within them are Enerbeam slingshots platforms to launch players out. There are also several “gates” that may either give rings upon passing under them or give a nasty shock to immobilize the player. Depending on the stage you may either see Lyric’s robots or some of the comic’s E-Series models patrolling the side. Shadow Canyons sometimes has air jets erupt from the sand and push players upwards, while Sand Ocean instead has stone pillars.

Bygone Island/Wood Zone                                          BGM: Seaside Beach 1”

These small residential areas have various elevated platforms to run upon, some in which drop down to lower area. Wood Zone is similar to the new Archieverse’s version of Knothole Village and Bygone Island is around the main town from the Sonic Boom franchise. Both of these have small bodies of water close by. There are also small appearances from familiar characters like Ben Muttski and Fastidious Beaver just to name a few examples.

Sky Citadel/Cloud Sanctuary                                     BGM: “Lyric’s Airship”

This stage takes place on floating platforms within Lyric’s floating fortress. Q-N-C is just to the side on a console, struggling with the controls and trying to get the platforms to arrange quickly as they raise up and down. There are also green sphere which act as bumpers. Cloud Sanctuary has some of these platforms replaced with rotating gears.

Launch Base/Egg Rocket                                          BGM: “Egg Rocket”

Both stages take place within the interior of tower like areas. Launch Base has similarities to its comic version, but also has the Death Egg seen just outside. Egg Rocket takes place within a shuttle from the Sonic Advance stage where the rest of the stage can be seen outside a viewing window with Angel Island also seen fart in the distance. On the top level of Launch Base, Relic and Fixit are working at a console. Worker bots with similarities to Egg Pawns take their place in Egg Rocket. There are also spinning platforms along a corkscrew that runs right to the top. Players have to be careful near the bottom though, as bombs will eventually go off to take out the lower levels of Launch Base. For Egg Rocket lower parts of the shuttle will instead break away as the rocket takes off further into the sky.

Eggman’s Lair/Final Egg                               BGM: “Sonic 3 Mid-Boss”

One stage is in the interior of Eggman’s main base of Sonic Boom while the other is in the central hub entrance of the Final Egg in Sonic Adventure. Final Egg appears much like the source game, except that Pseudo Sonic and the Game Gear version of Silver Sonic appear in the capsules on the top floor. Orbot and Cubot can be seen working around Eggman’s Lair while displays of Eggman’s plans from various episodes are shown upon monitors. However, if the walls of the stage get destroyed, additional areas are revealed. Final Egg has a shooting gallery and an area with floating platforms. Instead of the shooting gallery, Eggman’s Lair has a room personally decorated by Amy. In the room with hovering platforms, certain robots will tower above them and fire upon anyone in range. Final Egg has the Egg Viper while Eggman’s Lair has the Obliteratorbot.

Carnival Night/Balloon Park                         BGM: “Carnival Night – PC Version”

Each of these stages originate from Sonic 3. They appear similar, but are decorated differently. Balloon Park in particular has platforms, lights, and fixtures decorated with animals. There are balloons inflating in certain areas which can bounce players either up or backwards upon popping. Clamer Badniks also act as a similar obstacle. Occasionally the lights will flicker on and off. Once power is out entirely, the lower areas will be flooded with water. At higher areas, Downtown Ebony Hare and his gang are just outside a small circus tent. The Marxio Bros take their place at Balloon Park. In addition to this, the infamous spinning barrel will be seen. Attacking it will just cause it to spin faster, but techniques of a stronger caliber can possibly obliterate it, but otherwise it doesn’t directly hinder players.

Alexander’s Cabin/Training Facility             BGM: “Original Music by Crush 40”

Both stages take place in the woods around where original character, Alex, makes his home. The first one takes place just outside the cabin in an open area surrounded by trees. There is also a small river just to the side and various small wooden platforms set up. The training facility is similar, but takes place at a slightly more open area near a field area with a small pavilion close by. These areas seem mostly harmless at first, but occasionally moving onto certain patches of leaves will trigger traps that have wooden planks pop out of the ground to hit whosoever lands on them in the face.

Konohagare: Sound Invasion/Konohagare: Pain Invasion    BGM: “Heaven Shaking Event”

The stages each appear similar with various familiar landmarks from Naruto’s home village, but both versions have suffered different degrees of collateral damage under different circumstances. One takes place during Orochimaru’s attack on the village mid-way through the first series and the other is from Pain’s more devastating attack during Shippuden. Different versions of familiar characters are rushing to battle on the sidelines, but otherwise do not interact. The same cannot be said of Orochimaru, Pain, or their summons. Giant snakes and centipedes move quickly in one of each stage which can potentially knock aside players in the process. Besides that, there are the two featured villains perched at a certain point using their ninjutsu to fire concussive blasts down upon the field.

Arabasta/Dressrosa                                           BGM: “We Are! – One Piece”

Each of these stages take place in notable cities as seen in the One Piece series. Arabasta has the Going Merry docked near the ocean nearby and can be fought upon. Dressrosa instead has the Thousand Sunny. Both versions have NPC members of the Straw Hat Pirates standing posed on the sidelines, but also include characters significant to the respective story arcs these stages belong to. Each stage also includes razor sharp enclosures of a respective hazard that encircle the arena and force players towards circuled part of the field outside of the otherwise safe zone of the Straw Hats’ ship. Arabasta has blades of sand surrounded by the mist of a sandstorm while Dressrosa instead has razor sharp string in the shape of a birdcage.

Cybertron/Unicron                                          BGM: “Main Theme – Transformers: The Movie”

Each stage takes place on the surface of a big technological mass. One is a city on the planet of Cybertron as seen in the Transformers series, specifically the G1 continuity. The other is on the surface the gigantic planet-consuming Transformer known as Unicron. One area to avoid is either a pit leading down to Cybertron’s core or a crushing maw between two pointed horns that Unicron uses to, as said, consume planets. On both stages, battles between various Autobots and Decepticons are seen in background. Notibly one stage features the gigantic Fortress Maximus standing the highest while Unicorn instead features Devastator. There are also aerial Decepticons that occasionly fire down towards players. Cybertron features various Sweepers in jet form firing downwards. Unicron instead as the Sweeps as seen in the feature film. Occasionally some parts of the stage will pull apart and shift as if something is trying to transform from within.

Ponyville/Discorded Ponyville                        BGM: “Time to Be Awesome – My Little Pony: The Movie”

Each stage takes place in Ponyville as seen in the fourth generation of My Little Pony. Yet the alternate stage is greatly distorted version with checkered patches (nothing new on the Sonic end) of land, coming down from one end, and buildings floating slightly off the ground. This of course resembles Ponyville from the Return of Harmony two-parter. Discord himself is also seen watching battle with laughter in this version, but just has a pony statue in his place in the usual Ponyville. In both locations in addition to the usual kind of cottages you can see the schoolhouse, Sugar Cube Corner, and Carousel Boutique. Though notably the Discorded version has the Golden Oak Library instead of the Castle of Friendship. In addition to NPC members of the Mane 6 there are various notable “background Ponies” watching on the side; though they seem more panicked in the Discorded version.

Canterlot/Castle of the Two Sisters                        BGM: “Welcome to the Show”

Each area takes place in an atrium at some location within Equestria. The Castle of the Two Sisters is not unlike it was during the battle with Nightmare Moon, but a bit more spruced up like in Season 4. The area within Canterlot is that in where Princess Cadence’s wedding took place. There aren’t many appearances from other characters at first, but after a few minutes one of the four princesses will appear. Twilight and Luna show up in the castle, while Celestia and Cadence are in Canterlot. If a player reaches them, their horn will shine as they bestow a stat boost. If said player happens to be of the evil alignment, Luna will turn into Nightmare Moon and Cadence will turn out to be Queen Crystalis.

Pharaoh Skies/Airedale Skies                                    BGM: “Decisive Battle”

These stages take place fighting upon different airships above cities in the game, Solotorobo. Some of these include Red’s main ship the Asmodeus, the Battle Ship, the Hillenberg cargo ship, border patrol ships, air pirates’ vessels and even the flagship of the Kurvaz; the Golden Roar. Far in the background is the gigantic Lares looming outside Airedale, while Pharoah has is counterpart, Lemures. These titans fire out blasts of energy which have the potential to destroy certain ships. Occasionly in either stage, Waffle will fly by chasing the Black Cat Pirates in their balloon.

Dr. Paradigm’s Hideout/Fission City Junkyard                       BGM: “2nd Opening”

Each stage takes place in an exterior area just outside each setting from Street Sharks. There are two main obstacles to look out for. The junkyard as the gang’s personal Sharkruiser straight form the toy line while outside Paradigm’s lab is the Mecho-Shark. Being knocked towards these will cause these machines to chomp on the player several times before being spit out. In both areas, a hologram of Dr. Paradigm overlooks the arena and he will occasionally shift into his Piranoid form. On the sidelines, some of the other Sharks are fighting with his minions. At the junkyard, Ripster and Jab are fighting Slash and Slobster. While at the lab, Big Slammu and Moby Lick are fighting Killamari and Repteel. Both stages features the team’s main vehicle where Bends is hiding out for the time being.

Falling Sky Road/Pig Castle                                                     BGM: “Arle’s Theme”

These are two stand-alone guest stages representing Sonic’s recent jump into mobile gaming. Both feature a highly destructible block-like environment that is constantly assaulted upon by living projectiles from the sky. Falling Sky Road is representing the Puyo Pop series appearing in Sonic Runners, featuring a colorful environment rained on by the Puyos themselves. They come in varying colors, sizes, and quantity. Pig Castle is a more grimier environment resembling an outdoor castle mixed with the breakable environments from the Angry Birds games. The battlefield is assaulted by the same birds that appeared in Sonic Runners; Red, Chuck, and Bomb respectively.

Angry Birds Stages - Victory! (Angry Birds Fight!)
Here are the stages for my Ultimate Sonic Fighter project. Each stage as an alternate look that can either look similar or drastically different. It should be noted that that these stages are intended to be full 3d much like Tenkaichi Budokai, Dissidia, or even what a console version of Sonic Battle's stages would be like. For my choices I went with notable ones from the games, but also wanted locales from the toons, anime, and comics to be represented. Besides that I've also have stages to represent my OCs and the guest character that I've included. I even threw in a homage to Nights for good measure. I'll get working on the character movesets next time. I'll either do multiple related character at once for each moveset post or feature a specific character and their multiple transformations.

Decided to add a few new stages to represent some of the more "official" crossovers that Sonic has appeared in. Its also to tie into the fact that Dbaf77 is doing his own take on Bowser and Dr. Wily for USF. And while only the Sonic and Mario series have a common connection to Smash Bros, I have a good feeling Mega Man will likely make an appearance in the fourth game. Also replaced the Skull Castle music with one of my more recent favorites.

Update: It will be a while before I work on the rest of the characters, but in the meantime here's some new stages. Just think of it as my holiday gift. As you can imagine I focused mainly on the Sonic Boom stages, stuff relating to the new comic verse, and the guest characters; but I also wanted to get the few remaining Sonic 3 stages. So now I got most stages from S3&K covered save for the Doomsday Zone which would be pretty hard to pull off.

Added at least two more. Sorry if I'm getting carried away with adding stuff from Sonic Boom and stages that appear in the comics, but on the bright side I've got just about every stage from Sonic 3&K covered now save for the aforementioned Doomsday Zone.

Update: So yeah, I decided to do something a bit different with the recent guest stage. You already see that I have a Smash Bros stage that doesn't correspond to any individual guest character and lately I've been trying to think of some way to represent Sonic's outings on mobiles games. Then I noticed that Sonic Rush and Runners each have characters guest appearing outside the Sonic franchise, so I decided that was a good place to start. While I am not a big fan of Angry Birds and know little of Puyo Pop, I still felt representing both was a neat idea. Just don't expect any respective guest characters to go along with them, so I apologize to those who are fans of said franchises regarding that.

Update: Decided to divide up some new stages I'm adding onto different pages. The new ones I've got included here are ones for Transformers, My Little Pony, and One Piece respectively.

Somewhat unrelated but I have some extra stages I came up with, if this was an actual game these would be part of the Spider-Man 67/Rocket Robin Hood mod. Just had to share these somewhere.

The stages themselves would be New York City/Sherwood Asteroid, Molemen City/Land of Crystal Creation, and Manta Asteroid/Dementia Five.

The bgm respectively for each of these would be the Spider-Man 1967 theme song, Rat Race from the Spider-Man 1967 OST, and Collision Chaos Bad Future US.
