(Character and Stages Trailer)

The Sega logo is shown along with any major co-developers. The original Sonic the Hedgehog logo then slides into view with cutouts of Sonic and Eggman posed in front of it. It is then pushed aside for the Sonic 2 logo as Tails, Badniks from both games, and Silver Sonic have cut-outs added in with most of the Badniks piling up in the background with each title. Sonic CD comes in along with Amy and Metal Sonic. Sonic 3 and Knuckles brings in Knuckles of course. A lot more titles slide by while adding in Flickies and minor animals. Not to mention various lesser known major characters from Game Gear, arcade, and spinoff titles popping in at the front. The Adventure titles bring in Big, Gamma, Tikal, Chaos, Shadow, and Rouge. The screen begins to get cramped and cracked as the Sonic Heroes logo struggles to get into view.

“Okay…let’s not get too carried away…”

“So you say there’s too many characters in the Sonic game universe?”

Badniks, Flickies, animals, minor enemies, and minor NPCs begin to be removed from the background. This leaves only the bare essentials as just a few more major characters getting added in with some of the long forgotten pre-Dreamcast characters just hanging to the side.

“Well we’ll make sure to get all your favorites at least…”

“HERE WE GO!”

A Spin Dash is heard revving up as the SA1 version of It Doesn’t Matter begins to play in the background. The scene suddenly flies past the 3D battlefield version of the Green Hill Zone before focusing on Sonic himself who has his back turned to the camera. He then turns around smirks and does the classic finger wag pose.

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG

The camera then zooms around as another blue blur is seen doing a roll around one of the series’ iconic loops. The music then changes to an arrangement of the opening part of the credits to Sonic 1 before seguing into a new version of the Green Hill music. Classic Sonic jumps into the air in the pose of the SA1 cover art before landing in Sonic’s pose from the SA2 cover.

CLASSIC SONIC

Sonic: “Hey Sonic! Enjoy your future! It’s going to be great!”

The two Sonics are seen running alongside one another while jumping from one of Green Hill’s floating platforms to an elevated hillside. A close diagonal shot is seen of the modern Sonic doing some combo moves in place, then switches to an opposite shot of the Classic Sonic doing the same thing. They are both seen running down a hill from a bird’s eye view before Classic Sonic suddenly does a Figure Eight Peel Out to get ahead of Sonic.

Sonic: “Hey! Pump it up!”

Sonic then does a Spin Dash to catch up alongside him. The shot then pans upwards to the sky where a familiar Egg Pod zooms by and the classic version of the Tornado flies up it soon after. The scene the switches to the front area of Station Square in front of the train station as Dr. Eggman comes to a landing, riding a modified version of his SA2 Egg Walker with arms attached.

DR. EGGMAN

Eggman: “Get ready to be schooled!”

A rendition of E.G.G.M.A.N starts play as gameplay is then seen of Eggman trying to aim a tracking laser at Sonic as he runs in a circle around him.

Eggman: “Get a load of this!”

He starts firing missiles out the back to rain onto the field via his Volkan Missile Barrage and then as Sonic attempts an attack, he knocks the hedgehog back via a boxing glove coming up front.

Eggman: “Pull it!” Ohohohohohoho!~”

Eggman then attempts to close in on Sonic before Dummy Rings are thrown into his path and cause an explosion.

Eggman: “What?!”

Tails then runs into view as the music is suddenly cut off and changes to the SA1 version of Believe in Myself. Tails runs into view as he stands in a pose similar to before his last story fight in SA1.

Tails: “I can do this!”

MILES “TAILS” PROWER

Gameplay footage is then shown of Tails using his two tails to propel himself towards Eggman with a lunge attack before going into an attack combo. He is then seen jumping and using his tails to hover as he dodges over Eggman firing a large sweeping beam from his Cosmic Cannon.

Eggman: “Be gone…or else I’ll make mincemeat out of you!”
Tails: “Here I come! Ready for me?”

Tails then lands and then begins attacking Eggman by spinning in circles around him with his Continuous Tail Swipe. He follows this up by firing a Sonic Battle style Energy Ball from point-blank range. The scene then switches to Knuckles doing his SA1 win pose in front of the Master Emerald Shrine as the SA1 version of Unknown from M.E begins to play.

Knuckles: “Time to make a house call!”

KNUCKLES THE ECHIDNA

Suddenly a blue figure surrounded by an energy field flies in and knocks Knuckles off-camera from behind. Metal Sonic then poses flexing out its limbs. Metal makes his recent signature sound effect as his boss theme from Sonic 4 begins to play.

METAL SONIC

Gameplay is then shown off the two fighting on the Shrine area. Metal Sonic is seen flying straight towards the Master Emerald before Knuckles hits him away with a lunging attack.

Knuckles: “Back off! Is that all you’ve got?!”

Knuckles keeps attacking with combo attack before equipping a Shovel Claw. After that he attacks with a charging Drill Claw attack while gliding forward.

Knuckles: “Give it your best shot!”

Knuckles attempts to attack again charging with an aura similar to when using the Maximum Heat Knuckle, but Metal Sonic repels him by discharging electricity. Metal Sonic then lunges, goes into an attack combo of his own, and then finishes by firing a beam from his chest. Metal Sonic looks satisfied from this not noticing a hammer-wilding figure jumping in front of the sun light behind him, whom strikes down on Metal thusly from behind.

Amy: “It’s my turn now! Coming through!”

AMY ROSE

A jazzy remix of My Sweet Passion similar to the “Songs with Attitude” album then begins to play. Metal Sonic attempts to counter with another charge attack, but Amy dodges with a Hammer Jump before counter-attacking. Amy is then seen spinning in circles attacking Metal with her Hammer Spin Tornado. Metal Sonic repels her with another laser, prompting Amy to begin her finishing move.

Amy: “You jerk!
A shot is then seen of Amy shaking her fist and holding her hammer behind herself in one hand while having flames in her eyes. Amy rushes in all at once, going into a flurry of blows with her hammer. Each blow makes a "piko" sound and Amy eventually knocks her opponent to the ground, where she hits her hammer on them several more times

Amy: Dummy! Dummy! Dummy! Dummy!"

She then finishes with a golf swing that sends Metal Sonic flying skywards with a far shot showing him as just a twinkle in the sky moving from Angel Island. The scene then switches to the ARK Control Room where a familiar green figure is seen in front of where the Chaos Emeralds are inserted into the Eclipse Cannon. He turns around and strikes a pose as Team Chaotix begins to play.

Vector: “We never turn down work that pays!”

VECTOR THE CROCODILE

Vector then shows off performing various punches, buzz saw spins, spitting out bubbles, and finally singing badly via his Chaotix Recital strategic move. He is then forced to dodge as Chaos Spears come out of nowhere. The song cuts off and Throw It All Away begins to play The camera then pans up as Shadow is seen there with his arms folded.

Shadow: “I won’t even break a sweat.”

SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG

Shadow then jumps forwards and runs along a wall, then jumps off again before using Chaos Control to teleport closer to Vector. Vector promptly counters by snapping his jaws to knock Shadow back and then jumps forwards to swing his fists down in a hammer blow. Before Vector’s attack can hit, Shadow begins to charge up a familiar technique.

Shadow: “Chaos….Blast!”

As Shadow’s attack envelopes the area, the scene then switches to Shadow warping into Crises City where a familiar opponent lands into view.

Silver: “I won’t lose! Prepare yourself!”

SILVER THE HEDGEHOG

The Crisis City stage theme begins to play in the background, but slowly but surely begins to segue into parts of Dreams of an Absolution. Silver slices his hands to send out ESP Knives out at Shadow who sidesteps the move and closes in. Shadow fires another blast from his hand as he skates forward, but Silver easily repels the blast to the side.  Shadow closes in further and goes into an attack combo before attempting to hit Silver with a roundhouse kick.

Shadow: “Pathetic.”
Silver: “I’ll stop you! How’s this?!”

Silver stops Shadow’s attack before it hits by having various debris swirl around him before shooting outward. He then jumps up and goes into a mid-air attack combo which ends with Silver sending a car to slam down into Shadow. As Shadow is knocked off screen, silver looks satisfied with himself before looking back to seeing a familiar face perched on top of a hanging highway sign just off from the main platform.

Blaze: “You’re so naïve.”

BLAZE THE CAT

Blaze jumps forward, but instead of being seen at Crisis City, the scene instead switches to her flinging fiery blasts at Sonic on a platform in the Water Palace area, similar to where the boss fight from Sonic Rush takes place. Vela Nova, her boss theme from said game, begins to play.

Sonic: “Huh?! What’s that?”
Blaze: “You won’t escape me!”

Sonic is forced to jump down into the water terrain where he is seen running along walls while the classic “running out of air” sound is heard briefly. As he jumps back up onto a surface platform, he is promptly hit by Blaze doing a fiery spinning drop kick known as the Axel Tornado. As Sonic is knocked back against a wall. Blaze attempts to grab onto him to attempt a throw. Yet before flames begin to form around herself. Both Blaze and Sonic are knocked away from one another as someone crashes into them while riding on Extreme Gear. Jet the Hawk lands on a platform as his board begins to fold in to its compact form.

Jet: “No way I’m going to lose!”

JET THE HAWK

The original Riders version of Catch Me If You Can starts to play as the scene suddenly switches to Metal City. Sonic dodges one of several E-10000s riding by on Extreme Gear while Jet rides forward on his own. He does several aerial tricks on his board as he closes in, hitting Sonic in the process.

Jet: “Feel the power of Babylon!”

Jet then swings the Bashyo Fans knocking Sonic back along with two NPC E-10000s. However, one E-10000 crashes into Jet from the side and trips him up. Sonic gets up and takes the opportunity to attack.

Sonic: “Can you catch the wind?”

Sonic performs a lunge attack, knocks Jet up with a launcher, jumps upwards to catch him in mid-air to perform an air-combo, and finally performs a mid-air flip to send Jet downwards to crash into a hovercar on the edge of the track. Once that gameplay is done, the next subtitle appears onscreen with a horizontal split-screen shot of stages representing various Sonic games in a 3D panoramic view. Entirely new music begins to play as this goes on.

“All the Best Stages from Sonic History Return!”

Green Hill is seen alongside the trap-filled interior of Scrap Brain. After that comes both the similarly trap-filled Metropolis along with the section of the Death Egg where Death Egg Robo is fought. The Miracle Planet section from the previous trailer is seen alongside the Bad Future variant of Palmtree Panic. Both Toxic Caves and Lava Powerhouse from Spinball take place on platforms above a hazardous battlefield. Marble Garden presents a subterranean temple with a mural in the background while Ice Cap is on a glacier closer to where the Eggman boss is fought in Sonic 3. The topside of the Flying Battery and its propellers are shown along with Hidden Palace.  Isolated Island is shown wit tracks similar to the Speed Slider area running through it and Marina Madness is a coastal area with a ship seen just to the side. Station Square, the Master Emerald Shrine, and the ARK Control Room are seen along with the Weapons Bed’s aircraft carrier. A platform from Bullet Station as a train run across it while a ship from the Egg Fleet has various background ships surrounding it. Westopolis appears similar to Crisis City, which are both shown along with Soleanna and the Cryptic Castle. Another aircraft carrier is shown with Huge Crises as Water Palace is shown again and Metal City returns along with a circular area representing Babylon Garden.

“Keep Battling to Unlock New Stages!”

Lastly, some of the earlier stages are shown alongside each other to show their similarities and the fact that they are unlockable variants. Additionally Emerald Hill is shown alongside Green Hill. The scene then goes back to Egg Fleet where Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are gathered at the front of the ship looking outwards. A roar is heard as Metal Overlord emerges into view. A closeup is shown as Metal at first makes the sound effect from his base form, but then that's overlapped as he begins to speak.

Metal Sonic: "Voice modulation...has been reacquired!"

The three then stand ready on the edge of the ship. Chaos Emeralds begin to gather around Sonic in what first appears to be a re-entactment of the power-up from Sonic Heroes where Tails and Knuckles don’t get legitimate Super Forms.

“The Return of Super…and Beyond!”

But the unexpected happens where Sonic instead goes beyond Super Sonic and becomes Hyper Sonic as larger Super Emeralds then appear.

“Show them just what you’re made of!”

Tails and Knuckles also appear into their respective Hyper forms as the three stand together posed in a triple split-screen formation. The trailer ends with silhouettes matching the group shot of the cast from Sonic Heroes.

“More Still to Come!”
Okay I won't be getting these out rapid fire, but I had a lot of time on my hands today so I thought I would get another trailer out. Like every series of trailer, everything's revealed little by little with each one. Not to mention there's sometimes little teases and a pinch of misdirection along with gags that long-time fans would pick up. As you can imagine I'm just doing the Sega cast for now as I can imagine that characters from other media would be the granddaddy of all megaton announcements. I also tried to stay as true to pre-established movesets as possible.
