(Sonic Generations 2)

Story: After their prior defeat in the previous game, the Classic and Modern Eggman come across Eggman Nega while inside the rift between worlds. They form an alliance with him and gather up all of Sonic's old enemies from the past, forming an "Anti-Sonic Legion" in a bid to exterminate Sonic and his friends. Sonic is reunited with his Classic version and various other friends, having to travels across different worlds and timeframes to stop this new alliance.

The sad fact is that there probably won't be any follow-up to Generations, at least not unless they give it a shot for some over anniversary celebration in about 5 or 10 years, so I decided to share my ideas on what a sequel would be like having a lot more material and covering a few other games. I even added two optional playable characters to the Classic and Modern playstyles, because no matter what the nay-sayers tell us, playing with other characters besides Sonic is NOT a bad thing. But if Sega ever does have an idea like this they'll probably have some new games to draw from by then. Just wanted to put some ideas up here for fun.

Water Palace is confirmed for the 3DS version of Generations so I decided to sneak an Advance 2 rep in. I've also decided to add in music choices for the bosses save for the last one. When I say "opening music" for the "rival" bosses I mean a little snippet that plays in their brief introduction cutscene. Also added in a Chao Garden amongst bonus features since we hadn't seen one of those in a while.

Update: Decided to have alternate zone choices for each era. One intended for the console versions and one for handhelds.

How about an Alternate Media era? And how would Lost World be represented?

Would crossover rivals work (Mario (Nintendo versions only), Megaman, and Tahu)?
